Male Hormone Levels decline with age.

Testosterone is the primary male hormone.

Male menopause (andropause) is associated with low male hormone levels and can cause physical, mental and emotional symptoms.

History and Physical Examination

You will receive a complete history and physical examination by a licensed Medical Doctor.

Comprehensive Laboratory Evaluation

​

Hormones including free and total Testosterone, thyroid and estrogen are obtained. Prostate (PSA) levels are monitored closely. Cholesterol, Iron and Vitamin levels, Liver & Kidney function and cancer markers are evaluated. Additional laboratory studies are performed.

Additional Diagnostic Testing

​

A bone densitometry study is recommended. MRI, EKG and Ultrasound may be necessary.

Medical Specialty Referrals

​

A urology referral is required. Endocrinology, Cardiology and other medical specialty referrals may be necessary.

Treatment Options

​

Male hormone deficiency can be treated with testosterone gel or injections. Natural supplements, for prostate health, are recommended.

Are adjuncts to traditional medical treatment and include acupuncture, nutritional counseling, and fitness programs.
